Parents: As you know, a new type of flu called H1N1 (or Swine Flu) has entered the United States.  Like other types of influenza, it is a respiratory illness.  Symptoms include fever and cough, sore throat or nasal congestion.  If you child experiences these symptoms, please keep them at home and contact your health provider.

To prevent all types of illness, school children should be encouraged to WASH THEIR HANDS OFTEN and cover their nose and mouth with a tissue or the inside of their elbow when coughing or sneezing.

We appreciate your diligence in keeping your children as healthy as possible. – District 205 School Nurses
